Dear valued Embody Wellness clients, 

We here at Embody Wellness have always taken the health & safety of our clients, therapists, and our own families very seriously. As the spread of COVID-19 intensifies and becomes more widespread, we wanted to take a moment to assure you that we are doing everything in our power to protect you & ourselves.  


As massage therapists, hygiene and sanitation are consistently top priorities in our line of work and we regularly take precautions such as: 

  • Washing hands, forearms and elbows for at least 20 seconds with soap & warm water before AND after every session, after changing sheets or linens, after processing payment transactions, and before AND after eating.  

  • Changing linens in between each client and providing disposable or washable covers for all frequently used equipment.  

  • Disinfecting all treatment room surfaces and communal areas daily. 

  • Avoiding coming to work when sick and turning sick clients away. 

  • Avoiding touching our faces and mouths during sessions and when interacting with clients. 

  • Providing tissues and hand sanitizer throughout the office for both clients and therapists to utilize. 


In addition to these regular steps we have also increased the amount of available hand sanitizer, tissue, and Clorox Wipes around the office and have increased the frequency of our disinfecting of communal areas/frequently touched surfaces. We are also replacing general linens around the office with more frequency and using disposable options wherever possible. Therapists have been instructed to be extra vigilant about their own health and will not be working on any faces/mouths in massage sessions while this is an ongoing concern. 


With that all in mind, we are asking you (our clients) to help us maintain a healthy environment by observing the following practices: 


  • If you are feeling unwell, are caring for someone who is unwell, or have been traveling recently please do your best to cancel your appointment within 24 hours of its scheduled start time to give us a chance to fill the spot & ensure the massage therapist doesn’t lose out on needed income. *If you arrive at our office exhibiting symptoms we will be required to politely ask you to reschedule your session. 

  • Do not bring children or friends to your scheduled appointment unless they are receiving a massage service as well. *If you arrive with a child or friend they will be asked to wait in their vehicle outside. 

  • If you are unable to leave your child(ren) unattended at home or in the car during your massage service please contact us to reschedule your massage. *If you show up to an appointment with a child we will be required to politely ask you to reschedule your session.  

  • Please wash your hands before and after your massage session. 

  • Please refrain from coughing or sneezing into the open air: use a provided tissue (or the crook of your elbow if you can’t reach a tissue in time). Please dispose of tissues immediately after use in provided trash receptacles.
